"Izpitno obdobje". Yes, it's that time of the year again. The holidays were suddenly over and I had to get myself together and start studying. I am still struggling with that process, but there are a few things I do to help myself ( I repeat them every time I am in the izpitni mess.)
1. I tell everyone I have to study. Trust me, that takes a lot of time, Skype calls and messages to inform all the friends and family that I have a lot of work to do and I won't have free time anytime soon.
2. I go to the library, because I lie to myself every time I say that I will stay at home and study. That "home" philosophy usually ends with me accepting all the coffee date invites and chilling in the Ljubljana sun again, because why not.
3. Another thing, I never stress too much about the exams, even though I take them seriously. And I have a new motto "Izpitni roki so trije, lajf je en".
4. I am a night owl and to stay up late and concentrate I need some coffee and some brain food of course (*insert nut mix here*). Let's skip the fact that I eat a lot of chips too.
5. I am a "visual learner" and I am always drawing little sketches around my notes. Different colors, mind maps and sticky notes help me a lot.
6. I am trying to adapt to drinking"Lemon water" in the morning. Lara's detox that helps with energy boosting and cleansing the system.
7. I set goals and then I reward myself for accomplishing them. ( to be honest, I reward myself even if I don't, as a motivation, but that is not what I am talking about right now)
I am trying not to walk around like a homeless person, because I don't really have a lot of time and energy for dressing up. This is my "Izpitni" outfit of the month.
